Sometimes you gotta do a little work on the Willfish cottage, and this weekend was it. Ben came over with Eric on Friday on the DI Ferry, bringing supplies including some plywood. They got to work treating the house for termites – lots of trenching and pouring in the heat!
On Saturday Doug and Dave came over on the Triumph and got to work as well. The breezeway was the primary focus, with the plywood backing installed behind the washer and dryer, and the cabinets removed and repositioned to make better use, and priming and painting the interior of the back section of the breezeway. We also rescreened a number of screens and finally got the new fuel pump into Sergio.
A special surprise – Julia was able to stop by on her lunch break and spend a few minutes with us!
Saturday night Ben, Dave and Eric did a little night fishing under the dock lamp and tore up the silver trout! Doug held down the cottage with the help of Oyster Radio!
Due to a family emergency, Dave had to get back home quickly on Sunday. So Eric ran Doug and Dave back over to Carrabelle and they zoomed back to Tallahassee.
Ben and Eric finished up some remaining items and made it back via the Triumph later that day.
