November has Come

The boys spent the first weekend in November on the Dog, in the hopes the sheepshead might be hanging around. Turns out – some were! We did not fill the cooler this trip with them, but catching a few told us the season will only get better! Interestingly, we fished the gulf hoping for pompano (no joy) but caught some nice red and black drum. Temps were high in the 80s, so not typical for this time of year. Nonetheless we were able to enjoy a tasty fish fry and had plenty of fish to bring home. Oh yeah, started with live shrimp, but they did not want to stay alive, so we swapped to fiddler crabs caught at low tide. Those fiddlers caught a bunch of fish that we did not expect!
